The long standing and well loved Caliente Cafe ( www.calientecafe.com ) situated at 53 Otley Road , in the heart of Headingley has for decades catered for families in and around Headingley and served generations of students.

Caliente Cafe is a family run independent restaurant , the proprietors Peter and Kiran are looking forward to a well deserved retirement which will offer them opportunity to travel the world again and stay at their favorite destinations much longer than they have ever been able to, as their dedication to their cherished restaurant has always beckoned.

Recently the unit adjacent to Caliente cafe achieved a licence to extend Caliente’s A3 restaurant use, Peter and Kiran would love to expand their business but Kiran feels the draw of retirement is a greater calling and ultimately Peter will naturally do what kiran wants, therefore we look set to see a new face on the block, however the landlords of the property are determined to maintain what they consider to be a family friendly restaurant in place of Caliente. The restaurant will be much larger and the brand will no doubt be very well regarded but will still maintain the family friendly attraction.

The landlords of the property have made a direct approach to a very well known and very well respected restaurant chain with the hope that they have a full appreciation for what Headingley has to offer in terms of clientele and location.
