Macys Headingley will open it’s doors in mid January 2012

starbucksThe lease on the unit previously known as Starbucks has recently been aquired as part of the Salinas Entertainment Group who also own the Rock Bar in Leeds which was recently voted the best designed bar in Yorkshire at the star studdied Google and Bloomberg Propery Awards dinner in London at the Lancaster Hotel.

The concept for Macys is very simple, to deliver another superbly designed unit with the emphasis on top quality coffee, new york style deli sandwiches, award winning sausgae rolls, cakes and cupcakes which will be designed by the outstanding young chef David Bennett of Sunshine Bakery who worked under the world renowned chef Marco Pierre White and last year won the National Cupcake  Award for the best cakes in the UK beating off over 200 applicants.  The coffee will be supplied by Laynes of Station Street which is regarded as the best coffee shop in Leeds.

So the scene is set for Macys to decend on Headingley in mid January and everyone who walks thorugh the door will be treated as a VIP just like at the Rock Bar with the emphasis on customer service, very high quality food and coffee’s.

Macys look forward to welcoming everyone to their new venture.
