By • Mar 28th, 2014 • Category: Community

Tuesday 29th April marks the start of the public enquiry into what is now being referred to as the Leeds Trolley Vehicle System Order – the NGT Trolleybus Scheme.

Concerns were raised that the scheme will despoil a very attractive part of the city and that, following years of disruption and unnecessary expense (£250m, of which about £77m comes from Leeds), resulting in a public transport service that is no cheaper and no better – in some respects worse – than is presently available.
